This photo is of a sunrise at Buck Hollow Overlook in Shenandoah National Park in Virginia. It was used for the cover of Stay With Me, since the park is the setting for several scenes in the book.

I love our national parks and would love to visit more of them. Do you have a favorite you’ve visited?

To celebrate our beautiful national parks, I’m giving away a Kindle copy of Stay With Me.

Coming-Of-Age Novel Rightfully Ours To Be Published April 2017

It’s no April Fool’s joke.

I’m happy to share that my coming-of-age novel Rightfully Ours will be published by Full Quiver Publishing on April 1, 2017! The Young Adult novel, which takes place in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, home of Little League Baseball, features the teen romance of Paul and Rachel and a bit of adventure.

Paul and Rachel’s story has a special place in my heart since it’s the first novel I’d written, drafted during National Novel Writing Month in 2010. It’s undergone countless revisions since then, and I’m excited to get it into readers’ hands and onto their Kindles!

Sixteen-year-old Paul Porter’s relocation to Pennsylvania is a temporary move during his dad’s deployment. Or so he and his brother think, until devastating news lands on their doorstep.
Paul’s new home with the Muellers provides solace, especially in the form of Rachel, his friend and confidante. Their abiding friendship deepens as they work side-by-side to uncover what could be lost treasure.
Will they acquire the strength of character and virtue to take only what rightfully belongs to them or are they in way over their heads, with more than a few lost artifacts at stake?

Can’t wait? You can get a sneak peek at Paul and Rachel’s story by checking out my Pinterest Board for the novel.

Each meeting we will have a short, small discussion group, and the last week we will have  a meet and greet with the author. This is a great way to beat those winter blues and get together with other parish women.”
